This afternoon, Evens Charles left a body that was tired, sick, and mortal, for a spiritual body of strength, beauty, and immortality.

He is now with Jesus.

Evens passed with little struggle and pain. We praise God that he spent his final moments on this earth, in peace and quiet with his family, YWAM family, and close personal friends.

Evens was known for his devotion to his mother and family, she often told us how he took care of her when she was sick

Evens served the Lord with his whole heart.

He worked in our maintenance department for over a year, helping the inner workings of the campus function so the kingdom of God could continue to grow. He also served in prison ministry bringing those physically behind bars into spiritual freedom with Jesus Christ. Evens was also a member of our worship team whose ultimate desire was to see people enter into the presence of God.

Heaven is so much sweeter with Evens there.

Evens’ family and our YWAM family believe that in healing or in passing, Evens wins. We grieve his departure and miss his presence, but we rejoice that he is whole, perfect, and has finished a race that we all continue to strive in for the Glory of God.

Please continue to pray for his family as they mourn. Pray for strength, peace, and ultimately, joy.

Evens’ family does not have all the necessary funds for his burial. We need $3,000 USD to do a proper funeral. Would you consider donating?

Checks can be made out to ‘YWAM Haiti’ and sent to:
YWAM Haiti
PO Box 236
Akron, PA 17501

Any funds raised above the $3,000, will be passed on to Evens’ mother. As her first born, he has felt the responsibility to care for her, and we know that was his desire.

Thank you for your continued prayer.

Quick News

We now have a brand new electrical system on our campus! We are so grateful to the amazing ITEC team who came and worked very hard to put the new system in. We want to say a big ‘thank you’ to everyone who played a part in this project. All of your prayers, donations and hard work are what made this new system possible!
