We are marching ON!
I am sure many have heard the continued challenges in Haiti. In Port-Au-Prince, the capital, things have been very stressful with shooting, car jacking's, kidnapping and robbery. Yes, things are less than what we want to see, but we are continuing to press on and progress continues to be made.
Prayer meetings are still held inside the Presidential Palace every Thursday at 9:00am and here in St. Marc we have prayer meetings inside City Hall. In St. Marc we continue to see dramatic changes. The most profound to me is the many “thank you’s” spoken freely towards us. This use to be a rare thing to hear in our city, but now it is all too common. Sometimes it has even hindered our ability to continue as so many people have asked us to stop and talk with them just to express their heart felt gratitude towards the mission.
This Sunday we will be hosting a citywide evangelistic meeting being lead by the Pastors Association of St. Marc in our Evangelistic and Sports Arena. We would like to ask for your prayers that God would draw many people to Himself during these meetings. It will close on Sunday the 17th. I will be preaching this Sunday, opening night! This has often proved to be challenging, so any extra prayers that you can send my way I would appreciate it.
The church is also taking an active role in St. Marc Fest, April 25. The day before, April 24, we plan to welcome the Prime Minister into the city. A large delegation of Pastors and Christians will be joining the Mayor and other high ranking officials at the entrance that was built and dedicated in the fall of 2003. Due to many difficulties and the war the gate had not been passed over officially to the city even though we had given it to God. This will be the official passing to the city as a gift from the churches of St. Marc.
Finally preparations have been made and the new facilities is ready for service with a Police Dorm, Office, Holding Cells, Look out Tower and Observation Room (with A/C), Well, Proper Toilets, Shower and just added, a sprinkler system, to make our city entrance welcoming to strangers.
We will also be cutting the ribbon on our cities new Fish Market built where a rubbish pile use to be by volunteers from PA and laborers in Haiti.
I would also like to announce that next week I will be participating in a Conference “Releasing Heaven on Earth”, April 14-16 at Ephrata Community Church, 70 Clay School Road, Ephrata, PA. If you are in the area and would like to attend you may contact the church for more information by phoning 717-733-4071. I could also forward info to you. I will be joining Alistair Petrie and Franz Lippi. Two very awesome speakers that are active in seeing transformation take shape in cities and nations! I believe this conference will be a real eye opener in seeing a release from heaven over the Lancaster PA area!
Thanks for your many prayers! Together we will see the nations WON to Christ!
