Christmas Dinner Report

What a positive time this event was! We received donations to feed 1900 people this Christmas, but as we always try to extend our budget; more than that received. Actually, in the end, we were able to stretch your giving and feed not just 1850 but 2200 people.  WOW!

Not only did we feed all these people, but we were also able to give a boost to the economic infrastructure. We paid 38 venders and restaurants to cook and serve the 2200 plates of food. YES! In addition we hired security to help control and supervise the provisions and provided coffee and bread for hundreds that same morning.

We also sent out a DTS outreach group from Jacmel, Haiti, to share the gospel at the various sites that were serving. It was a glorious day and so many felt in their body as well as their heart the warmth of God’s love!

We thank all those who gave. I am sorry I have been slow in this positive report. We are going through many transitions with the coming of the New Year and the beginning of the DTS here in St. Marc.

Do we have a mayor yet?

Please continue to pray as these past elections were so riddled with claims of fraudulent activity. It has not helped that CEP, the group responsible for holding the elections, can not produce an accurate and clear report of 100% of the counted votes.

It would appear that they only decided to make a suggested winner and then wait to see if the people would contest it or accept it. So, this is what they call a democratic election in Haiti? Count 90% and just see who thinks it was fair?

Let’s pray!

DTS (Discipleship Training School)

This school has begun again in St. Marc. Every January we start this training school on our campus. With eight students we believe God is making this training program a key life challenging time for anyone that attends.

The DTS is being lead by Lucy Kleyn assisted by additional staff. She is a remarkable young lady who has a call to see youth, specifically Haitian youth, trained to live righteous and true to their call.

Thank you to everyone for your giving and prayers!

Taking the High Places for Christ!
