We hope you enjoy it, and here are our July 2013, highlights!

New Larger Mechanic Shop/Depot nearing completion!

It has been amazing how much we have been able to do by working out of a small 10×20 foot building, but with God blessing us with 4 skids-steers, 1 backhoe, 1 petibone, dump trucks and many vehicles, we needed this new facility desperately. We poured part of the ceiling and floor this week. We hope to put on the roof and install doors in September!

Pray Chapel almost finished!

We put the last trusses up this morning! Why are we building this chapel? Because we want all generations to know that prayer is central in all we do. So, what better way than to build this chapel in a central location on our campus?

We still need the installation of the windows, pour the floor, float/stucco the inside walls, electric with lights, fans etc, and roofing. It sounds like a lot, but so much has already been accomplished and we are only lacking $7000.00USD to have it paid for in full!

Want to get involved?

Come! We want to see teams come to Haiti with a heart to evangelize and share God’s love and hope through prayer and relationship building, especially during this time of year when hard weather can leave entire villages flooded. We also want to host seminars for local pastors and youth pastors to be more effective in reaching out to their communities. Host a week long seminar and be a part of training up a generation of ministers to be a blessing by imparting accurate truth!
Give! We are in a phase of development in order to provide a more dynamic blessing to the nation. We need finances to continue the work on the mechanics shop and a storage facility with it. Please contact us if you would like to partner directly with us on this need!
We also need $7000.00USD to pay for the supplies purchased for the Prayer Chapel.

Prayer Points:

-We have a trailer at the wharf awaiting inspection and clearance. We need to see this trailer cleared this week. Pray for favor from the Customs Director that the trailer will cost little and be released quickly.
-Stormy weather: A wind storm blew off a portion of the roof of our bathrooms in the arena on Saturday. Our neighborhood lost a couple of trees as well. It was one of the strongest wind storms we’ve seen in years. This was a gentle reminder that we are in hurricane season. Pray that God protects us from the many hurricanes predicted for this season.

Front Road Paved!

Our community in front of the mission is so proud of their new asphalt road, as are we! They created a group to bring unity to our zone for the purpose of keeping it clean. The group is focusing on providing soccer programs for children, the continual beautifying of the neighborhood, and community clean up. We participated by donating finances for paint and lighting. Already they’ve repainted the park, placed goal posts, and painted soccer lines. Last weekend they hosted a young children soccer program and it was very successful.

The aquaculture hatchery

We’re only awaiting plumbing, electric and…fish! Our goal is to be eating fish from this project by this time next year. Ultimately this hatchery will service Aquaculture and Aquaponic systems in the Artibonite valley. This project is part of making an active step in training Haitians to be self sustaining and innovative in their agriculture techniques. In a country where protein is considered a luxury, introducing fish farming on a larger scale will be a huge life enhancing blessing!
We are also very excited to welcome six new staff members! They graduated DTS 2013, and have settled into life here on campus.

We will receive three more staff members before the end of the year.
