Bon Fwi Television

Haitian TV is very basic. Our local TV stations work deals to play commercials or shows, and whatever time they cannot cover they use for pirated movies or ESPN soccer. But do they realize the power and responsibility they have?
Bon Fwi is a 1 hour show started by Kristian Snow that is pioneering the way of what fun Christian TV should look like. It’s all about discipling the audience by bringing Haiti’s Christ-like behavior to the spotlight!
Our goal is to disciple the city with God’s kingdom values by being an entertaining & engaging example on screen.
And never before has the gospel been so fun or engaging to the potential 200,000 viewers in our stations broadcasting range. It is markedly different from other TV programs because it’s clean & encouraging with a strong Christian focus.
The name Bon Fwi translates to “The Good Fruit” ande comes from John 15:16-17 where Jesus speaks of bearing lasting fruit in following God’s command to love one another. We also get involved with issues in the city; bringing up important questions to things previously ignored. Why do we throw trash in the streets? Why do we see old people as burdens rather than assets of wisdom? Why can’t politicians fulfill their promises? Every week varies as we broadcast news, documentaries, music videos, creative teachings and so much more!

Our television show is disciplining thousands with the gospel of Jesus Christ, and at a level far deeper than a baseline message. They are seeing God’s kingdom in action by examples they can relate to. They are seeing it through real models in their society that we on the show call ‘good fruit’. It’s transformation through the sphere of media and it’s building up change in our society. Bit by bit, good fruit will appear as more people are equipped and mobilized through the refreshing entertainment they watch at the end of the day.
The program currently airs on Dynasty Television Monday thru Saturday from 8:00 – 9:00 pm. We put out new episodes every Saturday, which then re-run for the rest of the week. This gives everyone the opportunity to watch it. Our station has a broadcast range that reaches over 200,000 people, and is the most popular channel in Saint Marc. We’ve had lots of positive feedback and are right now working to develop the program further.
