DTS
DTS is short for Discipleship Training School. A program designed to bring intimacy with God into reality for the individual. We apply the well known YWAM motto “To know God and make God known” in practical, but exciting and life changing ways!
DTS begins with three months of lecture and practical training, the school is staffed by experienced missionaries and weekly speakers come from around the globe to impart their own knowledge and share their stories and experiences. During this time, students learn groundbreaking lessons on prayer, reconciliation, relationships, spiritual warfare, the Character of God, and how to develop and grow in your relationship with God. Knowing God is the focus! Students are constantly challenged by staff to live what they are taught. We focus on doing before teaching, a method of BEING the godly example.
DTS ends with a two-month outreach (missions trip) to locations such as Guadeloupe, Panama, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, and areas in Haiti. Students work as a team with staff to learn and develop ways to communicate God to the current generation. The lessons and models taught in the lecture phase are proven during outreach. Students are challenged to reach out to different cultures and become a part of reaching this generation with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
