Liberty Academy serves to build up the next generation in the character and ways of God. In the past few years, Liberty Academy has been struggling to find teachers, and a few times parents were worried they would have to send their students elsewhere. Thanks to some willing hands, we were able to open this school year with a staff of 5 teachers. However, many of them cannot stay for the next year. Our History

Liberty Academy opened it’s doors in 1994 as a cooperative effort among a few missionary parents to educate their own children in English. In doing so we stumbled upon an unseen need in our community. Many Haitian families send their children to other cities, or even to the U.S. for an English education. By opening our doors to these families, we have made it possible for them to remain together while their children receive an excellent education in English. This also opens a door for us to minister into nthe lives of these families, and to impact the future of Haiti by training up the leaders of the next generation.

Our Philosophy
At Liberty Academy we believe that education is more than just academic achievement or rote memorization of facts. Education is, at it’s heart, the formation of character. In fact, all education is the formation of character because what one believes determines one’s character; and it is the character of the people that determines the destiny of a nation. It is therefore, very important that right concepts of truth and biblical principles be planted and nurtured in the hearts and minds of our children. Of equal importance is that they be taught the critical skills of thinking, reasoning, and applying those truths and principles in every area of life.

Our Goal
Our goal for each individual child is to develop in that child the desire, and the necessary tools, to obey the call of God on his or her life, whatever and wherever that may be. Our goal for the nation is to see Haiti become a blessing to the nations of the world.
