New Beginnings 2012

Hello,Last key being handed to the last family

2012 is a year of “New Beginnings”! Already this year we have sensed the turning of the tide as we move on towards transformation as we see many completions to our relief efforts following the 2010 earthquake.

We reached our final goal of moving the last families into new permanent cement block homes, and, this month, we started the construction of a new school in New Beginnings village. Thanks to a Rotary Club in Florida and a partnering church in Louisiana, the first 8 rooms of this 16 classroom school are paid for! This half of the school will enable up to 400 children to receive an education. A need that also is a gift to the 100 families that have just received homes!

The new community market promoting jobs and merchant sales is also advancing. This market will allow us to introduce Biblical principles in the “market place,” bringing an environment for the destruction of poverty.

Pastor's conferenceThis week we had a wonderful Pastors and Church leaders seminar. 73 people gathered at our campus here in St. Marc. Our goal was to teach these leaders how to move in greater spiritual influence and win more to Christ. During our teaching we all realized that we need to watch so we don’t  fall into satan’s trap of harboring past offenses, but walk in greater unity, utilizing the spiritual gifts God has given us all.

It is hard to believe that it has only been a month and all the above has happened; if the year continues as it has begun we look forward to new releases and healing to come.

Taking the High Places!
